Meet Vicar Christine

Christine Cracchiolo | Vicar, Pastoral Student | Abiding Grace Lutheran Church

Christine Cracchiolo was born and raised in St. Louis, MO. She and her husband, Sam, moved to North Texas in 2017 for a job relocation. She felt the call to ministry from a very young age and began to pursue the call at seminary in Fall 2021.

Prior to answering the call, Christine was a Speech Language Pathologist in Coppell ISD. She and her husband share a young son, Eli, and a dog & cat. When she is not at the church or studying, she enjoys playing with her son and crafting.

What is a Vicar?

A vicar is someone who is learning how to be a pastor by serving in a congregation during the course of seminary studies.

While preparing to attend seminary and pursue candidacy in the ELCA, Christine came across Abiding Grace Lutheran Church. She became interested in the church by watching online services during the pandemic. She sought out a mentorship relationship with Pastor Nick Billardello, who helped shepherd her into vicarage at Abiding Grace. Christine has been enjoying this opportunity to serve as a sort of pastoral intern to the church community. She is pursuing her Master of Divinity at Wartburg Theological Seminary, and is expected to graduate in May 2025.
